Our hiring journey typically includes three stages. This multi-step process helps us find the right fit and helps you determine if we're right for you! You'll have the opportunity to connect with team members across different functions, gain authentic insight into our day-to-day reality, and help us understand how you think and work. Meanwhile, we get to involve more voices in building our team, ensuring we maintain the culture that makes Syntropic Medical special.

Interview Stages
Initial Conversation
15-20 minutesYour first touchpoint will be a video or phone conversation with a relevant team member. This is an informal discussion focused on getting to know you: your story, what motivates you, and what you're looking for in your next role. We'll also make sure to leave space for any questions you have about Syntropic Medical, our mission, or the opportunity.
Technical Interview
Up to 1 hourCandidates who move forward will be invited to a technical interview designed to assess expertise relevant to the role (technical depth, problem-solving ability, and practical experience). The interview may include a discussion of previous projects, a presentation of selected past work, and, where appropriate, a technical exercise. The format is intended to create an open exchange on your approach, decision-making, and domain knowledge.
Culture & Values Discussion
1 hourThe final conversation focuses on cultural fit and alignment. Through an open dialogue, we'll explore our values as a company and your values as a person. We want to understand what matters to you, both in a personal sense and a professional sense. What do you want to achieve in your career, what matters to you in the people you work with, what impact do you want to have with your role? These are all questions that are important when deciding if this is the right fit for you and for us. This is a genuine conversation about how we work and how we can be successful together.
Reference Checks
<15 minutesWe typically aim to speak with at least 3 people that you have worked closely with in the past. These could be former colleagues, bosses, professors, or anyone else who you think knows you well and can help us to see the value that you can bring. Typically this will consist of a short phone/video call of <15 minutes.
Optional Final Steps
As neededIn some rare cases we may feel the need to have one final discussion to make sure this is the right fit or to clarify certain points. This is rare but may sometimes be needed.
You may also request to speak with some of our existing team members to better understand our culture and workstyle.
